My
late mother-in-law, Barbara Rossi, was a very talented and gifted
artist and it was under her guidance that I came to realize my own
artistic ability.
I was born in Romania and I came to the US in the late 1980’s. My
husband and I have worked side by side over the years creating and
developing a Web design and Internet Service company. As a web
designer I work in various forms of media from illustration and layout
to design, customer service, and site maintenance.
Photography and painting have always been close to my heart, and for
as long as I can remember I have always taken pictures. My husband and
I have four children and over the years my love of photography has
enabled me to capture precious family moments that will live on
forever.
My camera is such an integral part of my everyday life now, and I
never leave home without it. I have developed a passion for seeking
out beautiful imagery … regardless of the subject. I particularly
enjoy using my camera to capture images of life in and around our
hometown … Sayville.
As a resident, mom and business owner, I am involved with and support
several community organizations: The Sayville Chamber of Commerce, The
Common Ground, Women Sharing Art, the Pilot Club of Sayville, the
Sayville Improvement Society Association, the PTA, American Legion
Smith-Weaver Post #651, Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (BAFFA), The
Greater Sayville Food Pantry and The Sayville Historical Society.
As a photographer I see images that I want to share, as an artist I
feel images I want to see. For the time being I have had to put my
paints and brushes away, but soon I will return to painting. |
