As
a “Baby Boomer” many of us found our lives directed towards other
paths than the one we are now choosing. How many times have we said or
have heard “if only I had only...” Well, I am very fortunate to have
this opportunity to now follow my dreams and passions with the love
and support of my family, friends and colleagues and am extremely
proud to be a founder of “Women Sharing Art, Inc.- Women
Sharing Energy & Exploring Artistic Passions”.
I
have been in the business of advertising art and design in various
capacities for over 35 years. I have also been a commercial and
residential realtor for the past 14 years. As a Mom to three (now
grown) children, I have spent countless hours volunteering, coaching,
PTAing, and photographing events for schools and church. I am
presently on the Boards of Mercy Center Ministries, Inc. (a
not-for-profit, non-sectarian agency for homeless young women and
their children); BAFFA (Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts Inc.) –
which includes the BAFFA Orchestra, Chorus and Art Gallery; and
“Women Sharing Art, Inc.
I
graduated from SUNY Farmingdale with a Business Management Major and
Advertising & Art Design Minor. I attended NYIT where I received a
certificate in Interior Design. I have taken photography classes at
Nikon School of Photography, First Light Photography, with photo
workshops in Maine, Arizona, New Mexico, California and New York with
special training in digital printing from Gene Chiusano of
Oakdale-Bohemia Camera.
When asked what I shoot, I like to say, “That I like to capture that
special moment in time, space and light that can only be duplicated
through my lens. How I interpret and process that event becomes my
art.” This is my energy – this is my passion – I hope to share
it with all.
